Devastating fires in Napa and Sonoma, the Californian wine region, resulted in loss of life, property, jobs and livelihoods and left thousands in the local area needing food, shelter and medicine.

In the last few weeks, members and volunteers from the Western Association have responded to this urgent need in their local community. Rallying hundreds of donors and volunteers, they have collected and distributed much-needed food and essential supplies to those who had been affected by the fires. Ongoing efforts will be directed to care for those in marginalised communities who would otherwise have difficulty accessing aid.
