The Grand Chancellor of the Order of Malta, H.E. Albrecht von Boeselager, visited the Order of Malta’s Clinic in Northern California in September 2017. He was accompanied by representatives of the Fund, which has awarded a total of 6 grants to support the running of the clinic since 2012.
The Northern California clinic provides free healthcare to uninsured adults and has treated over 25,000 patients since 2008. The staff and volunteers who care for the marginalised communities in Oakland exemplify the mission of the Order.
