In response to the devastating flooding in Lafayette, Louisiana, the Order of Malta’s Federal Association established the Lafayette Home Repair Program. Working with the elderly, the sick, the disabled and the poor, they have used a grant awarded by the Fund to provide the equipment to repair damage caused to homes and enable victims of the floods to return.

Six months after the floods, the Lafayette Home Repair Program is continuing its invaluable work for those who have still not been able to return home. Throughout the next few months, teams of volunteers will be working to make homes habitable. You can take part in this work.
