On Thursday 16 April, Order of Malta leaders from around the world heard from Yongmaan “YM” Park, President of Order of Malta Korea, about their response to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Global Fund for Forgotten People’s third virtual ‘Reports from the Frontline’ conference.
YM Park described how the pandemic has unfolded in Korea and how OMK members and volunteers mobilised to meet the needs of the local homeless, migrants and medical staff pushed to their limits by the crisis. He reflected on how the crisis has crystallised where real societal vulnerability and need lies and shared his hopes and concerns for life after the virus.
