The Maltese Symphony is run by the Order’s Hungarian Relief Service and the Order of Malta’s Embassy to the Roma People; the project aims to help disadvantaged children through the art of music. Through the formation of an orchestra the Order aims to build a community, encourage children’s development, continued education and self-expression. The orchestra regularly performs at kindergartens, schools, festivals or churches all over the country. These experiences help the children maintain motivation by gaining a sense of achievement. The project aims to help the children of marginalized families in a hopeless situation; families who have been forgotten by society.
